Welcome to Air Force ROTC Detachment 910! While training at the University of Washington, our cadets attend highly acclaimed classes in a wide range of academic disciplines. These university classes complement the detachment’s rigorous AFROTC curriculum. Instructed and led by a cadre of highly experienced and dedicated officers, cadets excel in the classroom, learn the finer points of leadership, and increase their personal level of physical fitness. As a result of this multi-faceted training, we produce disciplined and professional Air Force officers who understand the historical legacy, leadership principles, and future challenges of the world’s strongest and most technologically-advanced Air Force.
Throughout the AFROTC program, cadets have the opportunity to lead a normal college life while simultaneously committing themselves to the Air Force’s core values of integrity, service, and excellence. Each semester spent as a member of this Cadet Wing incrementally increases their knowledge of the Air Force and of themselves. Ultimately, our cadets transform into professional leaders, equipped for any and every challenge that they may encounter. The lessons and skills that our cadets learn here will last throughout their lives, contributing to their successes and achievements both as officers, and later in their lives, as civilians. After successfully completing the AFROTC program at Detachment 910, cadets earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and go on to serve in a wide range of career fields on active duty. Our alumni serve in rewarding specialty fields from aviation to space, intelligence, cyberspace, communications, medical professions, and many more.
To assist cadets in reaching their goals, the Air Force offers scholarships for a wide range of academic programs. These scholarships are awarded to competing applicants and cadets who excel in academics and display outstanding potential for leadership. High school students may compete for these scholarships during their senior year. Additional scholarships may be awarded to college students once they’ve entered our program.
